Northumberland is a land of contrasts - from rolling hills of the Cheviot range where you’re more likely to come across a wild goat than another person, to the beautiful east coast with the mile upon mile of sandy beaches - its a county which truly has it all.
Blacksmith's Cottage is ideally situated for those wishing to take advantage of the great outdoors, and being situated at the foot of the Cheviot Hills - it just couldn't be better! Walkers and cyclists have miles of well-marked rights of way on which to explore and enjoy some truly unique scenery. If you wish cycle hire can be organised, or, you may like to take a guided walk straight from the cottage, this can also be arranged.
The Wildlife is spectacular and affords the nature lover an almost unique opportunity to see a wild otter, black grouse or red squirrel in its natural habitat. Why not have a wildlife safari booked to take you from the cottage.
Ending your day whether you are a walker, cyclist, historian, bird-watcher, nature lover or a child enjoying the golden sands of our coastline and exploring our castles, you will return to this cottage with inglenook fireplace and log burning stove or into the garden for a BBQ and take in the view to reflect upon your day.
