Developed from a former blacksmith's cottage and forge, the cottage has recently undergone a complete renovation throughout 2009 to provide a comfortable base for 2-4 people in an area of outstanding beauty.
The small well equipped kitchen has kept the traditional features with all the mod cons. If you do not want to worry about shopping, the large fridge/freezer can be stocked at your request. The microwave is at the ready and the dishwasher is there to make your life easier. Weather permitting, there is a BBQ in the garden with the most amazing views, there is no problem to find a cook to stand there!
The lounge/dining room has all you need for a comfortable evening around the fire with tv/dvd or games/books/maps provided. Logs and coal are available for your stay.
There is a choice of three cosy bedrooms; one lovely king sized downstairs with en suite shower room and two twin bedrooms upstairs with amazing views of the Cheviots. The downstairs bedroom provides single storey accommodation for 2 people, particularly less able bodied guests. To make your stay as comfortable as possible there is a selection of pillows and duvets to choose from, and flat screened tv with dvd players (with freeview) in the lounge and bedrooms. All bed linen and fluffy towels are provided.
There is a second well equipped bathroom downstairs with shower and bath. Both bathrooms offering heated towel rails and underfloor heating (in colder months).
The outbuilding is a now a laundry room with washing machine and drying facilities, together with space for safely storing bicycles and the cleaning and storing of outdoor wear.
