Welcome to our website
Blacksmith's Cottage is a superb four star gold 1-5 berth luxury self-catering holiday cottage in the depths of the beautiful county of Northumberland. As recently featured on ITV's "Tales from Northumberland with Robson Green", the county of Northumberland is a forgotten gem of rugged rural beauty. A perfect destination for those seeking dark skies and remote horizons.
Stargazing Breaks from Northumberland National Park
We are gold star quality - the International Dark Sky Association has given Northumberland Dark Sky Park its highest possible rating for the starry skies overhead. The park is Europe's biggest area of protected night sky which means future generations will be able to cherish and enjoy the spectacular views.
Enthusiasts and beginner astronomers alike can now take a stargazing holiday at Blacksmith's Cottage. All our guests can enjoy a stargazing experience with our 10 x 50 binoculars, torches, reference books, garden chairs, rugs, supplies of hats, scarves and gloves in the cottage.
All breaks and holidays are given the option of adding a 'stargazing evening' whilst on holiday subject to weather and availability (details below). Please mention your interest when booking.
